With all of the creative designers and clients we work with, innovative
pieces and programs are coming through GLS on a regular basis. The
President’s Choice award was created to recognize the people
and companies who design, create or develop these unique projects.
The winners you see here received the President’s Choice award
because they were extraordinarily creative, innovative or just plain
out-of-the-box thinking.
Congratulations to the Caldrea Company, recipient of this spring’s President’s Choice Award for its understated and elegant 2008 Catalog.
Combining photo artistry, clean design and well-organized layout, the catalog gives retail buyers and consumers a true feel for Caldrea’s luxury brand. It shows the products in all of their beauty, while highlighting individual fragrance lines. The information is presented in a way that helps retailers absorb it quickly as they stock up on Caldrea products.
The catalog was printed on recycled, uncoated Domtar stock using GLS’ new UV press, which offers crisper image quality. This was also Caldrea’s first FSC-certified project.
“We have always taken measures as a company, and with our marketing, to be earth-friendly and as ‘green’ as possible,” explained Marketing Production Manager Deb Ausen. “But teaming with GLS, and Account Executive Jim Benedict, helped us take that extra step to show our commitment to the environment.”
