 Congratulations to Best Buy for winning the most recent President’s Choice Award for “You Shine,” an eye-catching holiday mailer sent to thank corporate clients for their Gift Card business.
Collaborating with GLS dimensional mail designer Dick Thompson, Best Buy created a festive and multi-layered piece. The outer layer was an attractive blue and green striped mailing jacket. It opened to reveal a silver foil sleeve peeking through a cutout window shaped like a gift box. The silver sleeve, imprinted with the message “You Shine,” contained a thank-you card, coupons, and a whimsical little gift box pop-up. The piece was produced with specialized processes including foil-stamping and intricate hand assembly.
According to Best Buy’s manager of Gift Card sales and operations, the mailing made a big impression on customers. The corporate campus in Richfield, MN has received numerous e-mails and phone calls from customers wishing to thank Best Buy for making them feel valued.
